Dr. Clottey is a Physician Specialist in Public Health with over 15 years professional experience. He received his secondary education at Achimota School, and obtained his medical degree from the University of Ghana School, Accra. He later did his postgraduate training in Public Health at Harvard University, Boston, USA and obtained a certificate in Epidemiology from Emory University in Atlanta, USA.
Dr. Clottey, has served in various capacities in Ghana, U.K, USA and Canada - as Medical Practitioner and District Director of Health Services, Ghana, as Technical Advisor for International AIDS programs, USA, also as Regional Director of Public Health, Saskatchewan, Canada, and lecturer in Community Health at the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. He also served as Medical Director of the International Travel Clinic, Saskatoon, Canada, and was a Consultant in Health Care Quality Improvement, in Ottawa, Canada.
He is presently a Director at the Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, for the Government of Canada, in Ottawa. His Current area of professional focus is preventive medicine and personal productivity through health optimization. He has a special interest in diabetes and heart disease.
