As part of our mission to bridge the gap between industry and academia, impacting the lives of students for their future careers, L’AINE Services Limited participated in the 2016 Ashesi Career Fair.
The fair which took place on the 16th of March at the Berekuso campus, saw about 40 companies present to interact with many students of various levels looking for internship opportunities.
Activities included a speed interviewing session to help students drastically increase their job search ROI. This process was to serve as pre-screening stage, helping both the interviewee and hiring company to assess the potential match of candidate to corporation in a short timeframe.
There were also round table discussions between the employers, students and school faculty to advice or give suggestions on how the curriculum meets or does not meet the practical expectations. It was also a rare opportunity to sit with students for a candid conversation about their internship experiences and what they think organizations can do to better prepare for interns.
About fifty (50) students visited the L’AINE stand for enquiries on internship vacancies, National Service vacancies and general information about L’AINE’s services. Companies present included Barclays Bank, Adinkra, PZ Cussons, Tullow Ghana Limited, Nubian Systems, Nestle Ghana, Charter House, Fidelity Bank, and Unilever.
